Pencil Lines Sketch124～Mar. 3 ひな祭り

Here is another layout I finished a few days ago. This was my first take on a sketch from Pencil Lines　#124.



(I put some paper scraps to cover girl's face, because they are just my friends' dauthers.)

Supplies;
PP - sassafras
Black Board Die Cut - Cosmo Cricket
Chipboard Shape - pebbles

In Japan, March 3rd is a day to celebrate girl's festival, which is called Hinamatsuri. They display beautiful dalls to pray their daughter's happyness, health, beauty and thinkgs like that. Since we live in the U.S., we cannot celebrate it in a way people would do in Japan, but I wanted to do something special so that we can still remember it. I made paper dalls with origami and brought special lunch for my friends' daughters.

The photos and origami dalls on this layout was from that lunch.



These origami papers are gorgeous! I got them from my friedns, I think.



Glimmer Mist again on the background mulberry paper.



I ran out of 'R', so I cut the shape out.


　Pencil Lines初挑戦のレイアウトです！ひな祭りをイメージして、何とか和風にまとめたかったのですが。。千代紙の折り雛が無駄に存在感ありますね（＾＾；机の上に何気に乗っていたよしず風？コースターもエイ！と使って、マルベリーペーパーは、「金の屏風」イメージでグリマーミスト。んーーー微妙だ！しかも写真が別にひな祭りっていうか、いつもの風景なので。ま、ここアメリカだし、仕方ないですね。笑
　でも作る作業は楽しかった～！いつもは使わない素材やツールだったのでなんだか新鮮。友人であるママたちも褒めてくれました～♪

　sassafrasは、最新のラインは随分、ビンテージ風というか、カラフルなんですが、ちょっと前はこんなラインも出してたんですね～　まったく同じメーカーと思えない！ちょっと和風？同じパターンのブルー系もあるので、いつかそれで着物ページも作りたいです。
